About House of Narcissus

Welcome, I’m Jayde, the founder and formulator behind House of Narcissus, a boutique fragrance studio based in Western Australia.

What began as a quiet fascination with body oils slowly deepened into a devotion to scent itself. In the early days, I worked with pre-made fragrance blends, but over time, I felt a growing desire to understand what I was using, why it worked, and how to shape scent without limitations or reliance on formulas beyond my control.

So I taught myself.

I began studying the fundamentals of perfumery; structure, balance, evaporation, and harmony, not to confine my creativity, but to support it. From there, intuition took over. I let scent memories, emotion, and the ingredients themselves guide the process, trusting both knowledge and instinct in equal measure.

I work primarily with natural materials; resins, absolutes, and botanical oils which are chosen for their depth and soul. When I do use aroma molecules, they are selected with intention, not to replace nature, but to enhance it: to lift, anchor, or refine a composition in ways raw materials alone sometimes cannot.

Every fragrance and body oil is blended by hand in small batches, allowing space for nuance, imperfection, and individuality. These are not mass-produced scents, they are slow-made, moody, and deeply personal. Designed to be worn like a quiet ritual, a signature, or a private indulgence.

House of Narcissus exists for those who find magic in the details, in craftsmanship, in scent and in the unseen moments we create for ourselves.
